Welding Processes

Aluminum
Aluminum is a widely used material for manufacturing a variety of products across various industrial sectors. It boasts lightweight properties, high strength, ease of shaping, and low corrosion resistance, among other benefits.
MCK Welding has expertise in robotic welding of this type of metal, which presents some challenges in its welding process, as its characteristics make it necessary to use more specific methods to achieve the perfect weld.

There are many processes used to weld aluminum, the most commonly used are:
MIG (Metal Inert Gas)
MIG welding is a process in which an electric arc – obtained through a direct current – is established between the workpiece and a wire or aluminum alloy, which combines the functions of an electrode and filler metal, in an atmosphere where an inert gas is present.
TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas)
In TIG welding, the electric arc is established between a tungsten electrode – characterized by being non-consumable – and the workpiece, also in an inert gas atmosphere.
In this process, the electric arc can be obtained by means of alternating current (AC), direct current (DC) and positive electrode or direct current and negative electrode.

Advantages
Welding in different positions;
High welding speed;
Lower heat input;
Less splashing
Less gas and smoke when welding;
Guaranteed versatility.
Stainless Steel
Stainless steel is a metal that can also be welded easily when the correct technique is used and the specialist's knowledge and expertise is applied.
Specializing in robotic welding solutions, MCK Welding overcomes any welding challenge. Our focus is delivering a high-performance, reliable system that delivers maximum yield.

Stainless steel can be welded using three welding processes: Coated Electrode, MIG/MAG, and TIG. However, the welding procedure and method vary depending on the characteristics and specificities of the metal and the method used to achieve good weldability.
