Positioners
In some situations, to keep the welding in the most favorable position and/or eliminate the need to “divide” the process into several operations, it is common to use one or more external axes (servo-controlled) fully integrated with the robot, increasing its number of degrees of freedom.
Depending on the need, these axes can be easily integrated into the COMPACT-WELD cell. Their movements are programmed in the robot's own programming unit, as if they were their own axes.
MCK Welding offers its customers a wide range of positioners with load capacities ranging from 300 to 1000 kg.
By using positioners, it is possible to perform welding in more favorable positions, improving penetration and consequently the quality of the weld bead.
