Smoke extraction

Welding fumes can be harmful to the operator's health if they are not exhausted or if the operator does not wear a respirator.

The Occupational Safety department is responsible for assessing the level of fumes and other suspended particulates in the factory atmosphere. Often, the low amount of fumes generated combined with the high ceilings of the plant makes fume extraction unnecessary.

When forced exhaust ventilation is required, the company must install a local or central fume extraction system. In this case, the COMPACT-WELD can be supplied with a hood for attachment above the welding cell, allowing the capture of metal fumes generated by the welding process and subsequent extraction by a central system (not included). It has an internal diameter of 380 mm and an external diameter of 444 mm.
